Running and training can be overwhelming. We aim to take the guesswork out of training and provide you with 6 weekly coaching calls where you can ask questions, learn with your teammates, and connect with Coach Kelly multiple times LIVE every single week.
No other training team or coach provides the opportunity to connect on a call 6 times a week.

Our BALG Annual Training Team offers affordable, year-round flexible coaching and resources.
As an annual member of the training team, you get access to all of our training experiences, running plans, strength & yoga video libraries, audio-guided runs, journals, private team group in the online community, multiple weekly coaching calls (both in the AM & PM), discounts on merch, a $40 gift card to use in our store, access to our year-round panels with experts, access to 1:1 coaching if interested, and MORE!
If you are looking to join more than one training experience a year, or if you’re looking for flexible year-round coaching and support, this option is for you. We open registration to the team four times a year.
Our Training Experiences are a great option for athletes looking to train for a goal with the support of a coach, team, and resources. While participating in a training experience, you get access to our strength & yoga video libraries, journals, weekly PM coaching calls, audio-guided runs, access to a private group in our online community open only to participants of the training experience, and a running plan.
Our Running Plans are our most affordable offering for athletes looking to build a base or train for a race with a plan that won’t leave them overtrained. Running plans come with strength work videos and coaching blurbs throughout the plan to help you develop your mental game.

ABSOLUTELY! Our training team is available month to month or yearly. If you’re looking for some help in your training, the team is a great option to get access to coaching calls and Coach Kelly & Coach Amanda. You can join for 1 month, 2 months, 3 months, or however long you’d like!

Good question! It really depends.
If you’re just looking for something that’ll guide you through training for your upcoming race; you’ll be fine with our running plans.
If you want to experience what it’s like to train with a team but only want something short term, than you’ll want to sign-up to one of our MANY training experiences and yoga practices.
If you’re looking to maintain your fitness all year long AND want a team-like community, you’ll want to join our annual membership. You also get the most bang for your buck as ALL running plans, training experiences, AND yoga practices are included in the fee.

Your coaches are Coach Kelly and Coach Amanda.
Head Coach Kelly is a RRCA-certified coach and has also completed the Dr. Stacy Sims “Women are Not Small Men” certification.
Head of Yoga and Strength, Coach Amanda is a certified yoga therapist and teacher as well as a licensed massage therapist, and certified running coach.

We totally understand! We never want the Badass Lady Gang to be totally out of reach for any women who wants to join. Each year, we offer two 5K training experiences for free and we have a free 5K running plan.
Additionally, BALG Community is totally free to join! This is our main form of communication as it’s safer and more private than normal social media platforms. Coach Kelly herself manually approves each new member, and once you’re in, you’ll be able to connect with hundreds of women. You can join at balgcommunity.com.
On top of that, we ALSO have chapters around the country that meet-up weekly and are run by volunteer leaders. If you’re near one, you just need to reach out to them on IG and then show up to a meeting. Meet-ups are designed to be inclusive to all speeds and strengths - you’ll never be alone.

Our job as coaches is to do everything we can to keep our athletes strong and healthy. Strength training and prehab are important components of any running routine but even when you do everything you can, injuries happen. We are unable to offer refunds or exchanges but all running plans will remain in your V.O2 account for you to use and reuse.

Yes! We know that some athletes like a hard copy of their training plan.

Your running plan will live in your Final Surge account after you officially finish your plan. To re-use it, you can manually drag workouts (it’s easiest to do this on a Desktop), or, you can print a PDF version of your running plan in Final Surge for future use.
Unfortunately, team BALG will not restart running plans for athletes to reuse after their running plan finishes.

As a member of the team, you get access to all of our running plans. From base building plans and get stronger and faster mile plans to 5K, 10K, 10-mile, 15K, Half-Marathon, or Marathon plans, we’re here to help you build strength, confidence, and have more fun on the run! Our team members unlock access to Running Plans for all types of runners, from first-timers to marathoners — and everyone in between.
Our Running Plans live on Final Surge, a training app that takes the guesswork out of training. Inside Final Surge, you’ll see your proper training paces while keeping you motivated with feedback to feed your strength and stamina. (Have a Garmin or Apple watch? Your workouts will sync with your watch so all you have to do is press start!) But you don’t need a fancy watch to enjoy Final Surge! All of our running plans come with Strength x Yoga videos from Coach Amanda to round out your training, prevent injuries, and help you have more fun on the run!
We recommend joining the team 1-2 weeks before you need your running plan to begin to have enough time to get your plan set up and customized to meet you where you are. Check out our 8, 12, and 16-week running plan guides below to help you find out when training officially begins.
Training Experiences
As a member of our training team, you get automatic entry into all of our training experiences throughout the year.
Our Training Experiences range from 5-12 weeks, tackling different distances and goals from 5 weeks to Get Stronger & Faster to 12-week Half Marathon Training Experiences.
Our training experiences have a dedicated weekly coaching call where our athletes can connect and lean on for support. It’s the perfect way to get the most of the team while training for the same goal.
