Dear Runners, Stop Saying It's "Just" A (Insert Distance Here)
WE NEED TO TALK ABOUT THS:
DOES THAT "JUST" LOOK FAMILIAR?
Of course, it does!
You use it.
I use it.
We all use it, and it really should stop.
I'm tired of hearing myself and seeing ladies in the Badass Lady Gang qualify their running or accomplishments.
I'm sick of hearing people trivialize a distance or say something like, "My goal is just to finish. I'm not very fast."
I don't care how fast or slow you are. I don't care if it's a mile or a marathon, we all need to stop saying "just".
Your goal is not just to finish a Mile/5K/10K/Half Marathon/Marathon. Your goal is to run a f*cking Mile/5K/10K/Half Marathon/Marathon.
You aren’t “just” running 3 miles. YOU’RE RUNNING 3 MILES. That’s hard!
That goes for any distance or pace.
STOP SAYING JUST.
It's not up for debate. If you disagree, go write about it on your own platforms but in the world of the Badass Lady Gang, the word just will no longer be tolerated.
YES?
